Be part of a Government Authority that is currently progressing a Business Systems Transformation program. As a result, the Azure Data Engineer will be tasked with expanding the development of the existing Azure Data Analytics Platform as the delivery of the systems roadmap transitions the architecture from the current state to the future state. The candidate will lead and own the existing Azure data platform.
About the role:
The Azure Data Engineer will work with structured and unstructured data and has a good understanding of Azure Data Factory, Data Lake and DevOps.
Integrating data into analytical platforms and managing structured and unstructured data flows
Develop, test, integrate, and deploy ETL components using Azure Dev Ops tools and scripting languages
Design, configure and manage data engineering workflows that deliver advanced analytics data solutions
Work closely with the data analytics team to build and optimise data pipelines, warehouse/data lake and reports/visualisations
Executing against the Data Analytics roadmap, including optimisation of the existing capability as well the introduction of new capabilities

As the successful applicant, you will have
Experience in a similar role utilising the Microsoft Azure platform and toolset
Experience in the design and development of data warehouse or business intelligence solutions
Practical experience in developing data engineering solutions and developing Azure based solutions using Data Factory, Data Lake and DevOps.
Expertise in Microsoft Azure tools such as: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL,
Experience with Azure DevOps Repos, CI/CD tools and branching methods
Experience with Data Modelling (Data Structures, SQL, Data Analytics, EDM)
Solid understanding and application of data engineering best practices and refactoring methods.
