Network Automation Engineer

You'll be a key player in improving efficiency and reliability across the network infrastructure and will be working with cutting-edge tools and technologies.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Work with Network and Platform teams to evaluate, design and implement automation tools and processes.
• Design and develop automation scripts and workflows that enhance network operations, including configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Automate configuration management for routers, switches, firewalls, and more to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for streamlining network workflows and lead the charge in automation solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead the creation of automated alerts, monitoring scripts, and diagnostic tools to minimise downtime and enhance service reliability.
• Share your expertise and promote best practices for network automation across the team.

Who you are:

• Tertiary Qualifications in a computing-related field with significant relevant experience.
• Deep Technical Knowledge in Cisco networking systems, network protocols, security principles, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Scripting proficiency with Python, Bash, and automation frameworks.
• CI/CD Experience and familiarity with tools like GitLab.
• Exceptional technical leadership and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
