Senior Engineer- Unix Systems

The Senior Engineer, Unix Systems under limited direction is responsible for:

• Support, administration and maintenance of the Linux environment
• Working closely with other technical teams in the identification and resolution of technical issues escalated by the IT helpdesk
• Management of the VMware, Disk to Disk and tape backup environments
• Delivery of improvement initiatives and project work within agreed timeframes
• Performing regular reviews and audits of the UNIX environment, undertaking remediation activities where required in order to maintain compliance with relevant security policy, process and procedures
• Ensuring that technical documentation is up to date and accurate at all times
