Opportunity to join a NSW Government organisation that gives back to the community as a Contracts & Procurement Coordinator. This is a 12 month contract and will be a mix of working in Sydney Olympic Park and working from home, once stay at home orders have finished.
The role provides procurement, contact management, administration and RFQ services on behalf of the ICT Team. This role will not be responsible for negotiating contracts, it's more about the administration of the contract process setting up the RFQ questionnaires to go to market, understanding the best way to engage the market, preparing the RFQ paperwork, managing responses and evaluations, registering in our system and working through the execution of contracts within our hierarchy of delegations.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide overall coordination and advice within ICT on procurement, tender and contract management processes and practice; including but not limited to legislative requirements, public sector procurement and contract management guidelines.
Contribute to monitoring the performance and compliance of the contract in accordance with the contract, contract management plans, sourcing strategy, category management plans, risk management plan and organisational policies and procedures.
Support the ICT Platform Teams to develop and document plans for each tender including the methods and processes for addressing contractual risk and achieving best value for money.
Ensure the smooth operation of ICT tender and contract process in accordance with government standards and requirements by coordinating the tender management process including specifications, arranging for the advertising and dispatch of tender documents, opening tenders, scheduling tenders, site inspections and advising unsuccessful tenders when contracts are awarded.
Coordinate and support internal ICT enquiries and communications for procurement activities.
Liaise with procurement as the primary contact point within ICT to ensure consistent information is provided and process fairness is maintained.
Identify, monitor and prepare reports on contract management issues, including reporting on supplier performance and operational effectiveness of contract arrangements.
Key requirements are:
Min 3 years ICT NSW Government Contracts and Procurement experience
Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with the buy.nsw ICT Services Scheme
Demonstrated experience setting up, managing and closing RFQs
SAP GUI experience (preferred but not required)
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills / people skills
Willingness to learn new contract management system
Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment
