The Business Systems Architect will be responsible for the technical design and governance of quality solutions that deliver Client strategic objectives. The role requires excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration, end-to end implementation and on-going development and support of the CLIENT's IT systems including SharePoint / O365, CM9, ERP and 3rd party applications.
Work with Business Analysts, Project Managers and Business Systems and Information/Records Management functional groups across the business and IT to provide expertise, maintain technical oversight and guide CLIENT toward a defined future state.
Drive conceptual and logical architecture design for new initiatives and develop standards, patterns, best practices for reuse and future project acceleration.
Conduct design reviews and analyse existing business processes and systems, provide recommendations to enhance business process efficiency and performance and document future state options based on CLIENT needs.
Convert business requirements into application solution designs leveraging internal resources, broader department teams and 3rd party suppliers.
Drive innovative use of IT systems and continually evaluate the use of business systems within CLIENT/MTIA to identify and recommend opportunities to create efficiencies and process improvements.
Define and maintain Business Systems and Information Architecture Standards and challenge business requirements in order to facilitate adoption of CLIENT and WoVG principles
Develop and manage the CLIENT business systems architecture and integration roadmap for internal systems and data sources with hosted or external provider or partner systems and ensure design documents are maintained to accurately communicate current state.
Participate in design forums and promote the use of design governance to drive technology and process standardisations across systems within CLIENT, MTIA and DoT.
Actively contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the CLIENT IT strategy.
Proactively engage business stakeholders to identify business problems, workshop possible solutions and involve them throughout the solution development in an agile manner.

Ability to investigate business needs, problems and opportunities and translate requirements into functional specifications and IT solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good presentation and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders such as internal clients, business users and 3rd parties to identify business problems, communicate technical solutions to non-technical staff and involve them in the development process.
Strong analytical skills, organised, process driven and detail-oriented
Experience with cloud-based ERP architecture, design and transformation delivery in complex environments.
Experience in working with medium to large enterprise implementation of SharePoint sites and services and commercial enterprise ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc.) applications.
Proven initiative and the ability to prioritise tasks, schedule own and team tasks, work with minimum guidance and meet deadlines.
Use knowledge of current and emerging trends to improve best practice methods and contribute to the CLIENT IT strategy.
Relevant IT qualifications with significant experience or an equivalent combination and/or education or training.
Experience with systems architecture experience in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and cloud computing with practical knowledge of application and infrastructure best practice and industry standards.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with relevant architecture standards and technologies with knowledge and experience in leading ERP systems configuration and integration with cloud-based platforms.
