About the role
As they embark on an extensive transformation journey, the Program Delivery Manager will play a crucial role in portfolio planning, delivery, and change management. This role will also be instrumental in building out the ongoing Transformation team. You will lead the charge in enhancing their cloud-based platform and operational processes, ensuring they scale effectively with growth while continuing to provide outstanding support to their clients.
What you will do
- Team Management: Review the current project team, and mentor, coach, or restructure as necessary to ensure all resources are utilised effectively and focused on the right initiatives.
- Change Management: Embed change management practices and processes that align with the organisation's needs and culture.
- Program Delivery: Identify and deliver process and operating model-related initiatives beyond the 3-year technology roadmap that will enable the organisation to scale from a people perspective.
- Support the Head of Department (HoD) in designing and building operating models within teams and across departments to support the scaling business.
- Manage projects and programs within the portfolio, adapting delivery approaches as needed to align with business needs or implementation partners.
- Strategy & Planning: Support the prioritisation of continuous improvement initiatives that align with the organisation's strategy and the evolving business climate.
What you have done
- Proven experience in a portfolio management role within a complex organisational setting, with 10+ years of experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects using both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, building relationships, and resolving conflicts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in portfolio management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Monday.com).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- PMP, PfMP, SAFe, Scaled Agile, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
