Working as a part of a cross-functional business and IT team, this position plays a critical role in maximising the use of the Salesforce ecosystem to deliver on this University's strategic agenda. The role provides both technical implementation and technical solution design consultancy/advisory on major projects, and is responsible for delivering new builds and enhancements on the platform with outstanding customer focused support and engagement attributes. It is a key role in ensuring that we are leveraging the broad spectrum of capability in our investment into the Marketing Cloud platform.
Assist the technical development and solutioning of the Marketing Cloud platform for the University across major projects and internal products aligned to global technical platform best practices
Understand, document/capture technical requirements to be used in solution design, implementation and testing technical solutions (e.g. writing user stories, acceptance criteria, evaluating third party add-ons, conducting research and recommending changes in product, process and service improvement in development and configuration in support of development efforts)
Lead the delivery of technical activities related to Marketing Cloud implementations and integrations to Marketing Cloud using their adopted tools
Execute BAU marketing automation activities as directed by Marketing colleagues (where required) and implement ongoing enhancements to multi-channel personalisation capabilities
Provide targeted Marketing Cloud problem diagnoses, resolution and support for escalated issues as directed by Delivery Leads and assisting Support teams as required (e.g. on-call support where required for major incidents)
Actively contribute to developing technical platform best practices (e.g. documenting IP, running technical workshops to teach platform users AMPScript/ SSJS / GTL, contributing to community of practice regularly etc.) in line with University policies, procedures and strategic priorities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal clients of the Marketing Cloud platform and the broader eSolutions Marketing Cloud delivery team members, including the Platform Architectural Governance team across Salesforce and Marketing Cloud
Continuously drive and maintain data quality by implementing clean-up procedures, including data migrations and mass data uploads ensuring data quality
Help drive end-user adoption of Marketing Cloud through documentation, support and training of new and current employees, including documenting and communicating new functionality made available through releases
Perform ongoing system administration such as, maintaining user roles, monitoring application storage, integration points (including Marketing Cloud connect), security, profiles, workflow rules and data integrity
Co-ordinate and oversee a work environment of continuous review and improvement of business practices, operational processes and service provision whilst actively contributing to the betterment of operational processes and superiority of the Marketing Cloud team
Keep abreast of emerging technologies on the Marketing Cloud platform, implement continuous improvement strategies and maintain up to date skills and certifications in line with industry best practice in order to contribute to build a market-leading Marketing Cloud capability
