Senior Network Engineer

Senior Nextwork Engineer 
6 month contract 
Hybrid - 3x days in the office.

We are working with one of our leading banking clients who are looking for 5x Senior Network engineers to work on their core modernisation programme.


Key Responsibilities

1. Deploy and configure networking constructs across Cisco ASA and ACI/APIC environments.
2. Translate design specifications into operational configurations for firewalls, subnets, and service objects.
3. Execute passive and canary deployments; validate rule sets and ensure compliance with migration standards.
4. Prepare and execute change control procedures, including rollback plans and runbooks.
5. Monitor post-deployment performance and escalate issues when SLA thresholds are exceeded.
6. Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM appliances for traffic distribution and load balancing.
7. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery compliance through proper F5 integration.
8. Collaborate with design and automation teams to ensure successful handover and implementation of network solutions.
9. Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment processes and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Must Have

1. Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI, and APIC environments.
2. Proven track record in enterprise firewall policy deployment and troubleshooting.
3. Expertise and hands-on in configuring and supporting F5 GTM and LTM appliances (design, deployment, and operational support).
4. Solid understanding of network capacity planning and performance monitoring.

Nice to Have

1. CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications.
2. Familiarity with DNS load balancing, traffic steering, and SSL offloading.
3. Experience working in large-scale migration or data centre transformation projects.
4. Experience with Python or Powershell and understanding of SDLC.
5. Experience and understanding of Infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
