What is a Cyber Security Analyst?
A Cyber Security Analyst is a professional who is responsible for ensuring the security of an organisation’s computer systems, networks, and data. They are tasked with identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities, and implementing effective measures to protect the organisation against cyber attacks. They monitor network traffic for signs of suspicious activity and respond to security incidents, such as malware and phishing attacks, data breaches, and cyber-espionage. They also conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and develop and implement security policies, procedures and protocols to safeguard the organisation’s networks and systems.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems and networks, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities, and implementing effective measures to protect our organisation against cyber attacks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures and protocols to safeguard our organisation's networks and systems
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware and phishing attacks, data breaches and cyber-espionage
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scanning to assess the effectiveness of our security controls
- Monitor network traffic for signs of suspicious activity and take action as necessary
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy laws and regulations
Requirements and Skills
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Relevant cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH
- Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, techniques and technologies
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
