Job details
Our client is looking for a Lead financial analyst to support their IT team in a large program of work.
You will be working for a large federal government agency and will be managing and reporting project expenses and billing, you will help the Agency achieve its outcomes by monitoring and reporting budget effectiveness over project life cycles.
Further, you will understand and have experience demonstrating how managing program level budgets to schedule can provide insights into effective delivery management, and its effect on delivery capacity when project schedules overrun.
Key duties and responsibilities
Key requirements of the successful candidate must have skills and experience with (mandatory):
- Analysing and interpreting project financial data to assist the executive with business decisions
- Developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
- Monitoring spend trends and providing actionable insights to assist with managing budgets.
- Effectively communicating project financial information to non-financial staff, clients, or stakeholders.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of project procedures.
The following additional skills and experience would be of benefit:
- Experience undertaking financial and resource activities in organisation systems such as; TechOne, Aurion, SAP, Concur.?
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Bachelor in Finance or 5 years relevant experience.
- Working knowledge and experience using project tools such as; DevOps, Jira, GitHub, Confluence.
