Location: ACT
Contract: 6 months + 2×6-month extensions

About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Networking, Azure and Cyber Specialist to lead the management and security of enterprise network infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring secure WAN and internet connectivity, implementing cyber protection measures, and supporting digital operations across a complex IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Implement cyber security protocols aligned with PSPF, ISM, and Essential 8 Maturity Level 2
- Fine-tune Microsoft Sentinel SIEM for threat detection and anomaly analysis
- Report and investigate security incidents
- Mentor internal teams and support knowledge transfer
- Provide senior technical support and contribute to ICT architecture and strategy
- Maintain SOPs, monitoring tools, and reporting systems
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in a similar role within government or corporate environments
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Zscaler, Sentinel, and Microsoft security technologies
- Scripting and automation (BASH, KQL, Python, PowerShell)
- ServiceNow for ITSM (6+ months)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Microsoft Associate-level certification (specify)
