Duration - 6 months
A SharePoint Developer is required to manage and enhance an in-house SharePoint Online environment and associated workflows using Power Automate. The role will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimising SharePoint sites, automations, and intranet redevelopment to improve usability and accessibility. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SharePoint Online, Office 365 applications, and the ability to design and deliver solutions that meet organisational standards. While primarily focused on SharePoint development and automation, occasional support across broader IT functions may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the SharePoint Online environment, ensuring optimal functionality, security, and user experience.
- Develop and implement access control frameworks and permission models.
- Build and improve automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
- Provide user support, training, and guidance on SharePoint and related tools.
- Lead the redevelopment of the organisation's intranet with a focus on accessibility, usability, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver enhancements.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across business units.
- Develop, test, and maintain solutions that reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
- Report progress to the IT Manager to ensure workload is effectively prioritised.
- Provide occasional support to the broader IT environment in coordination with external partners.
- Assist end users with ad hoc IT-related issues when required.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in SharePoint Online development, including site structure, permissions, workflow automation, and content management.
- Proven ability to build and manage workflows using Power Automate to optimise operations.
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (e.g. Teams, OneDrive, Exchange).
- Knowledge of ICT security standards, compliance frameworks, and best practices within government or enterprise environments.
- Comfortable designing collaboration spaces with a strong understanding of permission models and complex PowerApps flows.
- Experience working in secure environments with knowledge of PowerApps limitations (e.g. restricting people pickers to internal staff).
