About the Role:
- Looking for a internal business Levl 2 application support person.
- 3 days onsite in Preston.
- Short term engagement 4-5 months.
- Experience in Finance, HR applications is necessary.
Roles and Responsibities
The Application Support Analyst role will be responsible for the application support and configuration of the Clients Applications. (finance, goveranance, ORACLE, revenue and so on)
Core functions of the role include:
- Level 2 & 3 incident and problem resolution.
- System, Module and Application stability.
- Providing guidance for technical support to resolve incidents and problems.
- Actively involved in system upgrades and patches.
- Providing solutions to business teams to resolve system & business challenges through opportunities delivering to our customers and community.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical, operational, and business support for Clients corporate core line of business systems, applications, and databases.
- Manage application & operational queue in ITSM, triage/troubleshoot and resolve incidents and fulfil requests.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL process such as Incident, Problem and Change management.
- Manage all aspects of database administration, optimisation, health, and monitoring.
- Maintain all aspects of application & systems performance, optimisation, and maintenance.
- Lifecycle maintenance and management of applications and databases.
- Support systems integrations and processes.
- Continuously explore ways to improve the service delivery function and end-user experience by optimising application & business systems operational support.
- Proactively collaborate to identify user needs and work towards identifying the gaps and offering recommendations/solutions.
- Maintain documentation re: applications and core systems for end-users including knowledge base and version control.
- Ensure systems specification documentation is reviewed and updated periodically.
- Assist with internal IT CAB processes and manage system upgrades, rollouts, maintenance, enhancements, and break-fix schedules.
- Responsible for progressive software/business systems upgrade or releases across multiple environments.
- Assist with BAU and Transformational projects including core system upgrades
