Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• Australian Citizenship with Baseline Clearance Mandatory
• Multiple locations available QLD NSW ACT VIC SA
• 12 month Contract with 2*12 months extensions

Our client a Large National Federal Government Agencey is looking for a strong Infrustructure Engineer to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.

• Identify, review, and measure existing capacity allocation and utilisation of priority ICT environments
• Develop data collection or monitoring solutions to meet business requirements.
• Lead or assist investigations or analysis into the capacity or performance of applications and systems
• Team mentoring and coaching of members including skills and knowledge transfer.
• Liaise with Platform teams/Development Teams/Project Teams to ensure that the appropriate capacity monitoring is implemented.Technical skills
• Experience in Monitoring Technologies.
• Experience implementing data collection feeds from monitoring tools or configuration databases. Primary Technologies: JAVA, SQL, Grafana, VROPS, Elastic, Prometheus, LPAR2RRDAbout the organisation

Skills Required:

• Provisions/installs, configures and maintains infrastructure services and components. Monitors, measures and reports on infrastructure load, performance and security events. Identifies operational issues and contributes to their resolution.

• Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors simple programs/scripts. Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Reviews own work.

• Installs or removes hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools, including handover to the client.
