About the role:
ICT Operations Officers are responsible for "keeping the lights on" monitoring and maintenance activities such as patching, backups and ICT asset resource deployment. They are also the escalation point of call for ICT Support Officers for resolving level 2+ incidents and requests.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with configuration and deployment of ICT resources and configurations, including workstation builds and re-images
- Assist ICT support officers with resolving mid-level (Level 2) incidents and problems and Executive User requests and incidents
- Perform regular maintenance activities including: patching; OS updates; data backups and restorations;
- Proactive monitoring of systems availability and capacity.
Technical Skills:
- managing Microsoft and Cloud-based IT infrastructure and system administration (i.e. Active Directory, Windows Servers, Azure IaaS and PaaS, M365)
- with backups and restore applications, tools and procedures (please specify applications and tools)
- in an enterprise environment or government agency with a Windows 10- or Windows 11- based SOE
- Demostrated experiience managing LAN and WLANs equipment.
