Clicks has partnered with the Victorian Government’s Digital Jobs program. This exciting initiative is designed to increase our state’s digital workforce in recognition of the ongoing demand for digital skills. Up to 5,000 mid-career Victorians will complete 12 weeks of industry-based training, followed by a work placement with organisations such as ANZ, Carsales, Zendesk, Siemens, and Salesforce.
We joined this program based on our trusted advisor relationship after years of being the top IT staffing supplier to Victorian Government. To assist program participants, Clicks has built a bespoke self-registration process that quickly registers them on our CRM. We’ve also developed a reporting capability to track our success in helping them find work. Tamara Ryf, Clicks CEO, says, “I am looking forward to supporting the success of this program. Fatema Galabhai, Clicks’ Practice Manager, joined an industry panel with leaders from organisations including CarSales, Commonwealth Bank, and Endeavour Group to review the program. The initial round table discussion, facilitated by Ernst and Young, evaluated whether the skills participants would gain following program completion would be relevant in the current job market. Clicks were also asked to provide feedback on course design and course providers.
She says, “I think this is a fantastic and innovative way to address the hiring challenge across many IT teams. Often candidates who are transitioning from other careers bring a fresh perspective. They are eager to work and are highly motivated. They also bring transferrable skills established in other workplaces.”
