An exciting opportunity exists for a Strategic Transformation Lead to manage delivery of strategic initiatives within the Data & Technology Group ensuring alignment with strategic goals and IT operations. The role requires a deep understanding of IT operations, change management, strategic planning and project management. The successful candidate will have hands-on change and project management experience of transformation initiatives to drive changes in people, processes and technologies across the Group and be able to engage stakeholders from all levels of seniority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop implementation strategies and actively lead delivery of a series of initiatives across the Group. Engage and mobilise stakeholders at various levels of seniority to support initiatives and implementation.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, project teams, and external partners. Influence and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with change initiatives. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues and ensure successful implementation.
- Performance Measurement: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives. Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on progress and outcomes.
- Change Implementation Planning and Management: Develops and leads change management plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and IT operations.
- Business Change Management: Manages the business change process, ensuring that changes are effectively integrated into the Group and Agency.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing and negotiating to achieve desired outcomes.
- IT Management: Collaborates with IT operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
- Project Management: Oversees and manages projects related to change initiatives, utilising project management methodologies to track progress and address issues.
- Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks associated with change initiatives, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Performance Management: Establishes metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
- Strategic Planning: Drives strategic initiatives that support the Group's long-term goals, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic direction.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated expertise and qualifications in organisational change management, strategic planning, IT operations, and project management
- Proven ability to lead and deliver strategic IT initiatives that align with organisational goals.
- Previous experience in the federal government or consulting within the public sector.
