Senior Network Engineers

• Australian Citizenship with NV1 required
• Canberra based opportunity
• 12 month Contract with 2*12 months extensions

Our Client is a federal government department that is on the hunt for 3 Senior network engineers to come and work within their team in Canberra.

You will be working as a senior Network engineer who is skilled in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures.

Proficient in troubleshooting, security protocols, and optimizing network performance. Adept at working with routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud services. Committed to ensuring seamless connectivity.

Key responsiblities:

• minimizing downtime, and improving overall system efficiency for businesses.
• Provide technical contributions to both network and gateway technologies, including (but not limited to) Juniper, Cisco, Trend Micro, F5, Clearswift, Fortigate, Zscaler, Runzero, DNS, DCHP, IPAM, Network Segmentation.
• Contribute to documentation.

Key Skills required:

• Development and Implementation / Systems Development / Network Design (NTDS)

• Delivery and Operation / Technology Management / IT Infrastructure (ITOP)

• Minimum five years relevant experience demonstrating strong gateway engineering and technical skills and knowledge..

• Experience in the development of gateway high-level designs and detailed designs.

• Highly developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• A broad understanding of industry, whole of government direction, emerging technologies and how they can be applied to solve business problems.
  
  
• Strong stakeholder management and client services skills.
  
  
• A strong understanding of ASD Essential 8 and experience with contributing to security accreditation of ICT systems.
  
  
• Experience in the day-to-day operations of highly secured networks and cryptography solutions.
