SATCOM WAN Network Engineer

As a SATCOM WAN Network Engineer, you'll play a hands-on technical role designing, building, and supporting SATCOM and WAN bearer systems. You'll work across routing protocols, cryptographic nets, tactical communications, and emerging technologies like SWARM and post-quantum encryption. You'll also provide training, contribute to network architecture, and support integration activities across Defence exercises and coalition engagements.

To succeed, you'll bring deep expertise in SATCOM and WAN technologies, enterprise and deployable networking, and secure infrastructure integration. You'll hold relevant qualifications in network or communications engineering, and ideally have experience supporting Defence or government projects. Familiarity with systems engineering, test and evaluation, and delivering technical instruction will be highly regarded.

Due to security requirements, you must hold an active or reinstateable Negative Vetting 1 clearance or higher.
