Senior Linux Engineer

Our client is leading the charge in designing and validating future capability environments that support experimentation, concept demonstration, and integration decisions. This program is shaping the future of deployable ICT systems through cutting-edge digital modelling, standards management, and systems-of-systems integration.

As a Senior Linux Engineer, you'll take on a hands-on technical role designing, building, and maintaining secure Linux-based infrastructure across physical and virtual environments. You'll manage large-scale compute and storage systems, enforce security controls, and support DevSecOps pipelines. Your work will include scripting, automation, compliance, and contributing to future architectural decisions.

To succeed, you'll bring deep experience in Red Hat-based Linux administration, virtualisation (KVM, VMware), and secure system operations. You'll be confident with tools like Ansible, GitLab, and containerisation platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. Security certifications (e.g. RHCE, CISSP), cloud experience, and familiarity with Defence or government environments are highly desirable.

Due to security requirements, you must hold an active or reinstateable Negative Vetting 1 clearance or higher.
