Multiple Lead User Experience Designers

Location: Canberra, ACT (Onsite)
Contract: 12 months + 2 × 12‑month extensions
Clearance: NV1 minimum, with willingness to obtain TSPV

We are seeking experienced User Experience Designers to support a major digital transformation program within a large, high‑profile government environment. This is an exciting opportunity to uplift existing digital systems and design new user‑centred solutions that will be used across a global workforce.

In these roles, you will create intuitive, accessible and visually engaging digital experiences that align user needs with organisational objectives. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and contribute directly to a program delivering complex, high‑impact ICT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan and execute user research, usability testing and discovery activities.
• Analyse research findings and provide clear, evidence‑based recommendations to product and delivery teams.
• Collaborate with business users, product owners, SMEs and technical teams to design user‑centred outcomes.
• Develop UX artefacts including user journeys, service blueprints, wireframes and prototypes.
• Communicate insights and design decisions effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Demonstrated experience designing intuitive, user‑centred digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Strong capability in user research, usability testing and translating insights into practical design solutions.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Axure RP, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
