DevOps Engineer (TSPV)

About the role
An opportunity exists for an experienced DevOps Engineer to contribute to the automation, configuration, and integration of systems within a highly secure and complex technical environment. You'll play a key role in developing, deploying, and sustaining critical infrastructure capabilities, with a strong emphasis on configuration management and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices. This role supports the creation of stable, repeatable environments and drives continuous improvement across integration and delivery workflows.

Contract is intially 12 months with a 12 month extension option.

What you'll do
In this position, you will design, build, and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using tools such as Terraform and Puppet, while supporting and enhancing CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable delivery. You will automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes across environments and services, apply Linux expertise to strengthen reliability and automation, and contribute to database environment planning and pipeline‑based deployments. You'll collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, produce and maintain technical documentation, manage work effectively to meet project timelines, and provide mentorship when appropriate.

What you bring
You will have strong experience in configuration management and IaC, particularly with Puppet and Terraform, along with solid Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills. You'll bring proficiency in supporting CI/CD toolsets, and experience with systems integration, build processes, and testing of integration environments. An understanding of configuration management principles, documentation standards, and automated database deployment workflows is essential.

You must hold a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance and be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment.
