Senior Project Manager - Aviation

A fantastic opportunity has become available within a large Queensland-based organisation undertaking critical modernisation work to support its essential services.

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead significant projects under a multi-year program focused on modernising enterprise networks. The role involves managing complex technical projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including managed service providers.

This is a 12-month initial contract with further extensions and offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days in the office per week.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver assigned projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with technical teams to assign, monitor, and coordinate resources.
• Develop artefacts defining outcomes, dependencies, and resources required for project success.
• Align project management with organisational frameworks and governance standards.
• Engage stakeholders and manage relationships with internal teams, managed service providers, and vendors.
• Identify, mitigate, and communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in project management, including complex technical and transition projects.
• Proven experience delivering projects in collaboration with managed service providers or third-party vendors.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and escalate issues appropriately.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government National Security Clearance.
• Experience delivering or working within engineering projects or engineering safety environments.
• Experience working in mining, oil and gas, utilities, or engineering/construction sectors- highly desirable

The Offer:

• 12-month contract with potential extensions.
• Interview on week of 16th December - start in January
• Competitive daily rates of $1,200-$1,300.
• Hybrid work arrangement (minimum three days in the office) - Eagle Farm
