Manager - Online Services

We're seeking a confident and proactive Manager, Online Services to drive the delivery of sustainable, user-centred digital products and services across the state. This is a unique opportunity to shape high-impact online solutions at the heart of government.

About the Role

As Manager, Online Services, you will:

• Lead the technical development and implementation of digital solutions that support high-quality communication, engagement, and service delivery.
• Oversee major digital projects and day-to-day updates across existing platforms.
• Manage coding standards, uplift development environments, and embed best practices.
• Collaborate with account managers, clients, and team members to deliver accessible, functional, and user-focused online experiences.
• Champion whole-of-government digital standards and contribute to cross-agency collaboration.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and executing digital project plans and web strategies aligned with departmental and government priorities.
• Staying ahead of technical trends in digital design and online communications.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Leading a high-performing team and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture.
• Managing workloads, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience leading teams in the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality internet and intranet sites.
• Proven ability to deliver innovative, responsive, and user-friendly digital experiences.
• Relevant qualifications in ICT or Information Technology (highly regarded).
• Advanced proficiency in platforms and tools such as:
  • Squiz Matrix
  • SharePoint Online
  • Adobe Dreamweaver
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Analytics/Data Studio
  • ASP.NET (highly desirable)
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
