About the Role
As a Web Developer in the Online Services team, you will work closely with the Principal Web Developer to deliver innovative and effective digital solutions that support key departmental and whole-of-government initiatives. You'll collaborate with account managers and stakeholders to create visually appealing, accessible, and responsive websites and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-quality websites and digital solutions aligned with government communication and engagement goals.
- Provide strategic advice on web development and produce digital assets for multimedia and social media platforms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital design trends and technologies.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative and positive team culture.
- Promote accessibility, consistency, and best-practice standards across government digital services.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality internet and intranet sites that are responsive, functional, and user-friendly.
- Technical proficiency in:
- Squiz Matrix WCMS
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON
- Bootstrap, Form.io
- SharePoint Online, Adobe Dreamweaver
- ASP.NET
- Google Analytics/Data Studio
- A strong understanding of accessibility standards and cross-device compatibility.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
