Senior Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in the higher education sector, particularly in leading academic workload planning initiatives. This role will be pivotal in driving strategic projects that enhance academic resource allocation, planning frameworks, and operational efficiency across faculties and departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of academic workload planning projects
• Collaborate with academic and professional staff to understand workload models, teaching commitments, research allocations, and service contributions.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, risk registers, and reporting frameworks.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement across faculties, HR, finance, and IT to ensure project buy-in and smooth implementation.
• Oversee change management activities, including communications, training, and support for new workload systems or processes.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership and governance committees.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, enterprise agreements, and sector standards.

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within a university or higher education environment.
• Demonstrated success in delivering academic workload planning or similar resource allocation projects ini the software development space.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK).
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, business, or a related field.
