About the Role

Reporting directly to the CTO, the Senior Front-End Developer will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing customer-facing web applications. You'll be responsible for translating design and business requirements into high-quality, scalable front-end solutions that support both customer acquisition and servicing journeys.

This role suits a hands-on senior developer who enjoys working closely with designers, back-end engineers, and stakeholders, and who takes pride in delivering clean, performant, and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)

• Collaborate with back-end engineers to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions

• Translate UX/UI designs and business requirements into well-structured front-end code

• Optimise application performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility

• Contribute to continuous UI/UX improvements and promote consistent design standards

• Participate in code reviews and support front-end best practices across the team

Skills & Experience

• 3-5+ years' experience as a Front-End Developer or Software Engineer

• Strong hands-on expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript

• Solid understanding of modern front-end development practices, tooling, and frameworks

• Experience consuming REST APIs and collaborating with back-end services

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control and testing

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset

• Ability to take direction, manage priorities, and deliver to deadlines

Nice to Have

• Exposure to insurance, financial services, or other regulated environments

• Familiarity with accessibility standards and performance optimisation
