QA Validation Engineer - validate autonomous technology in a hands‑on, safety‑critical environment. This Melbourne‑based role focuses on software and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, working directly with real machines to ensure reliable performance across complex mining and industrial systems. Ideal for engineers who enjoy practical testing, problem‑solving and seeing their work applied in the field.

What you'll do
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for software and hardware‑in‑the‑loop validation
- Execute validation activities using simulated and real underground mining machines
- Identify, analyse and document system and software issues, including root‑cause analysis
- Work with subsystem teams to define interim and permanent corrective actions
- Support on‑machine validation, troubleshooting and data collection for offline analysis
Must have
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or Computer Science
- 3+ years' experience in QA, validation or test engineering roles
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with software and hardware‑in‑the‑loop validation environments
Nice to have
- Linux experience
- Networking or radio communications knowledge
- Experience with on‑machine or systems validation
- Exposure to ADO or datalink analysis
