We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect / Lead Architect for a 3 month contract to support a critical uplift of architectural documentation across a secure Defence program. This role requires someone who can quickly understand complex as‑built environments, engage confidently with SMEs, and produce audit‑ready artefacts aligned to Defence governance standards.
As the Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and uplifting Design Documents (DD) and High-Level Designs (HLD) to accurately reflect the current as‑built state.
- Ensuring all documentation is aligned with the VDC System Specification and Defence/MPI governance expectations.
- Incorporating design updates and environment changes across two active operational sites.
- Working collaboratively with internal technical SMEs to validate accuracy and completeness of outputs.
- Producing deliverables that withstand audit scrutiny and meet Defence assurance requirements.
- Strong background in Defence architecture governance frameworks and secure ICT environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering audit‑ready DDs, HLDs, and associated architectural artefacts.
- Ability to rapidly assess complex, multi‑site environments and drive clarity, structure, and outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge, clarify, and guide.
- NV2 clearance preferred; NV1 candidates with exceptional experience may be considered.
