A global industrial technology business is seeking a Product Service Consultant to support safety and detection-related technology solutions.
This role will play a key part in product quality and customer experience, providing support and service engineering across product validation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical issue resolution. The position also has a strong focus on project coordination and stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally.
Typical responsibilities:
Continuous product improvement
Assess defects in production products
Provide advanced support to external customers
Review customer software and hardware configurations to improve system performance
Education and experience required:
3 to 5 years of relevant experience, including exposure to NPI and CPI processes
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Candidates with an Associate degree and additional relevant experience may also be considered
Master's degree may be viewed as overqualified
Internship experience may be considered depending on relevance and duration
Additional technical skills:
Project management experience
Experience supporting technology in an industrial or production environment
Ability to read and work with schematics
Strong product support capability
Field experience is advantageous
Industry experience in heavy industry, mining, or similar environments will be highly regarded
Experience in data gathering and analysis, with the ability to collect and interpret information from multiple stakeholders and sources to support sound conclusions and decision-making
Soft skills:
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly share and interpret information
Problem-solving capability across operational, technical, and process-related issues
Relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
Commitment to service excellence and customer outcomes
Consulting mindset, with the ability to provide technical or business guidance to internal and external stakeholders
Customer-focused approach, with the ability to understand needs and support tailored solutions
