We are exclusively partnering with Syngenta, a global leader in Agriculture and Crop Science, to appoint an Technology & Digital Lead for their Australian business. Role Purpose

Syngenta is redefining how it operates by embracing digital transformation and harnessing the potential of data, modern platforms, and AI to unlock new growth opportunities across the Australian business. This role will be central to that shift, shaping how technology enables smarter decisions, stronger customer outcomes, and new sources of competitive advantage.

Reporting to the Global IT & Digital Lead, you will set the direction for digital, data, and AI in Australia, ensuring initiatives are strategically aligned and commercially impactful. You will champion innovation, identify high-value opportunities, and lead teams to deliver solutions that position Syngenta at the forefront of digital agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Digital, Data & AI strategy for the Australian business
• Cut through AI "noise" toidentifyhigh-value use cases that drive commercial impact
• Align local delivery with global platforms, architecture, and data strategy
• Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders across sales, operations, and IT
• Lead the shift from traditional processes to modern, AI-enabled ways of working
• Establisha modern data foundation to address fragmentation across the business
• Oversee a modern data platform leveraging Databricks on AWS
• Ensure platforms are scalable, resilient, and future-ready for advanced analytics and AI
• Lead, mentor, and develop data science teams and machine learning engineers to deliver high-value digital and AI solutions
• Lead and grow a team of four direct reports while building future capability

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Proven leadership experience across Digital, Data, and AI
• Strong understanding of machine learning and applied AI (at a leadership andprioritisationlevel)
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale software, data, or AI programs
• Exposure to modern data platforms (Databricks and AWS strongly preferred)
• Comfortable operating in complex, global, matrixedorganisations
• Demonstratedability to translate technology initiatives into commercial outcomes
