Project Scheduler

In collaboration with the Queensland State Government, Clicks IT is looking for an experienced Project Scheduler to support a complex portfolio of regulatory, operational and ICT initiatives.

In this role, you'll help strengthen project delivery by providing clear schedule oversight, mapping dependencies and ensuring activities are sequenced effectively. Working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders, you'll play a key role in improving collaboration, managing timelines and supporting better portfolio-level decision making.

What you'll be doing

• Scoping timelines and milestones with Project Managers and stakeholders
• Facilitating planning workshops to develop project schedules
• Building program and project schedules including critical paths
• Producing portfolio schedules highlighting key milestones and dependencies
• Tracking schedule performance against approved baselines
• Highlighting portfolio capacity constraints through schedule analysis
• Establishing scheduling standards and processes across the portfolio
• Guiding teams on best-practice schedule management

What you need to bring

• Experience delivering portfolio or program scheduling
• Proven capability using Microsoft Project
• Demonstrated ability managing complex project dependencies
• Strong background facilitating stakeholder planning discussions
• Excellent skills communicating project updates clearly
• Practical experience supporting schedule reporting and monitoring

Bonus points for

• Experience delivering PMO or project support services
• Previous exposure working in large government environments
• Demonstrated experience contributing to scheduling frameworks
• Hands-on background mentoring project managers on scheduling

Important to know

• This role will require the successful candidate to work on site full-time for the first 3 months after which they will be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
