Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to help shape high‑quality, enterprise‑wide data models and analytics.
Working within Data Engineering Services and the Advanced Analytics & AI Capability, this role focuses on designing sustainable data models, delivering trusted analytics in Databricks, and building Power BI reporting that supports better decision‑making across the University.
This role is not data‑migration focused. Instead, it's suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, applying strong modelling judgement, and working closely with technical and business stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Design and document enterprise‑ready data models aligned to business needs
- Build analytics solutions using Python, SQL, Databricks, and Lakehouse (Spark/Delta) architectures
- Develop Power BI reports and apps that clearly communicate insights
- Contribute to modelling standards, reusable analytics logic, and data quality practices
- Work collaboratively within an Agile delivery environment, partnering with analytics and engineering teams
What you'll bring
- Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks, Python, SQL, and Power BI
- Demonstrated capability in data modelling and curated dataset design
- Experience with data profiling, validation, and enterprise data governance
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with a broad stakeholder group
