Senior Systems Engineer

Our client is a leading organisation in the aviation sector, driving innovation and safety across Australia's skies. They are currently delivering a major transformation program to implement a next-generation Air Traffic Management system. This is a high-profile initiative with significant impact on national aviation operations.

They are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to ensure the technical readiness of this critical system. You will act as the technical point of contact, providing leadership and guidance across design, development, testing, installation, and verification activities. This role demands strong systems engineering expertise and the ability to manage complex technical challenges in a regulated environment.

• Proven hands-on and leadership experience in systems engineering, ideally within technology programs.
• Ability to lead technical reviews and provide guidance across all engineering phases.
• Strong understanding of configuration management and change control processes.
• Expertise in risk identification and mitigation for complex technical projects.
• Familiarity with safety and security frameworks in high-assurance environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Engineering degree and eligibility to become RPEQ or CPEng (if not already held).

• Australian Citizenship with the eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Role based in Tullamarine, VIC with occasional travel.
