Cyber Implementation Lead

Are you the kind of cyber delivery professional who can take control?

I'm looking for a delivery-focused Implementation Lead to take ownership of a large-scale cyber uplift program within a complex enterprise environment. This is a role for someone who can connect the dots between architecture, vendors and business stakeholders, drive outcomes, and keep multiple workstreams moving.

You'll be the person who turns strategy into execution and translating security design into real, operational controls that lift maturity and stand up in production.

The role

You'll lead the technical implementation of an Essential 8 uplift program, working side-by-side with the Security Architect, project managers, operational teams and vendors.

This is a hands-on delivery leadership role, not a pure governance or advisory position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving implementation of Essential 8 controls across a hybrid environment
• Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors
• Coordinating multiple cyber workstreams to ensure aligned, on-time delivery
• Translating technical outcomes into clear, business-focused progress reporting
• Establishing measurable control uplift and maturity tracking
• Validating configurations, baselines and technical assurance outcomes
• Supporting operational readiness and smooth transition to BAU

What you'll bring

I'm targeting someone in the sweet spot. Experienced enough to lead delivery and influence stakeholders, but still close to the technology and execution.

You'll demonstrate:

• Proven experience delivering Essential 8 uplift programs
• A track record of getting things implemented, not just designed
• Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination skills
• The confidence to take control, remove blockers and drive momentum

Technical exposure across several of the following:

• Microsoft enterprise security stack (AD, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, Defender)
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Application control / allow-listing
• SIEM / SOC integration
• Cloud security hardening and baseline configuration
• Identity and access management uplift
• Network security and segmentation
• Zero Trust implementation in practice

Government or highly regulated environment experience will be highly regarded.
