Hands-on technical role | Underground technology & machinery
Are you a mechanic, auto electrician, marine technician or electrical/electronic technician looking to take your skills in a different direction?
This is a practical, hands-on opportunity to work alongside a Test and Validation engineering team at a test site environment, supporting the testing of underground machinery and integrated technology systems.
You’ll spend around 50% of your time supporting the technology team with maintenance and technical work, while developing the skills and authorisations needed to operate underground mobile equipment and become a go-to person for running machine-based tests. This is not an engineering role. The engineers focus on test design, while you’ll help make those tests happen safely and effectively in the field.
What you’ll be doing
Why consider it? This isn’t your standard technician or machine operator position. You’ll build on the technical skills you already have while developing experience across heavy machine equipment, technology systems, machine operation and engineering test and validation.
If you enjoy understanding how machinery works, fault finding and solving practical problems, this is an opportunity to take your technical career in a different direction.
