Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems).
• Manage Next-Generation Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Meraki).
• Configure network components of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
• Troubleshoot network issues (Layers 1-3, Cisco technologies).
• Implement and manage VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VPN, SD-WAN.
• Design and implement network failover topologies.
• Participate in network security initiatives (vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security audits).
• Lead client-facing and internal IT projects.
• Monitor network performance and optimize.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (1 in 6 weeks).

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies.
• Experience with Next-Generation Firewall platforms.
• Knowledge of routing protocols, VLANs, VPN, SD-WAN.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Cloudflare or other ZTNA technologies.
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Automation/Scripting skills (Python, Ansible).
• Network automation tools.
