We're partnering with a large, complex enterprise that is continuing to invest in its data and analytics capabilities. As part of a high-performing technology team, they're seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to support, enhance and evolve critical data platforms that underpin reporting, analytics and business services. Inspired by responsibilities and technologies listed in the attached platform engineering position description, this role focuses on platform reliability, automation, cloud technologies and continuous improvement.
The Opportunity
You'll work across a diverse technology environment, helping to deliver secure, scalable and highly available data platforms. Working closely with engineers, analysts and stakeholders, you'll play a key role in platform operations, automation, monitoring and ongoing service improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise data platforms and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor platform performance, availability and operational health.
- Implement automation to improve deployment, provisioning and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to platform upgrades, patching, maintenance and optimisation activities.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
- Support change management and platform governance processes.
- Work with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technology teams to improve service delivery.
You'll bring experience in several of the following areas:
- Data platform engineering
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Data integration and ETL tooling
- Infrastructure automation
- Windows and Linux environments
- Monitoring and observability platforms
- Enterprise application support
- Incident and problem management
Experience with one or more of the following technologies would be advantageous:
- Databricks
- Informatica
- MuleSoft
- Power BI
- Splunk
- Azure Log Analytics
- IBM Planning Analytics
