Our Client, a large government agencey is looking for a Infrastructure Engineer to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
The Infrastructure and Application Automation Engineer uses their in-depth knowledge ICT infrastructure and applications to provide efficiencies through the automation of deployment and day-to-day activities.
They will be required to work closely with business areas to ensure the provisioning of a robust infrastructure and application capability to the business that is in line with vendor requirements and departmental coding best practices.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and support automation of ICT Infrastructure and applications.
- Develop, maintain and support the department's vRealize Automation (vRA) platform.
- Create blueprints and workflows that aim to improve efficiencies of daily operational tasks.
- Develop code / scripts in-line with departmental standards
- Develop complex workflows in VMWare Orchestrator Proficient in Javascript, Powershell, Bash and Python
- Experience in the delivery of PaaS, IaaS and XaaS through VMWare vRealize Automation Experience supporting, maintaining and developing the VMWare vRealize Automation toolset
