Functional Lead - SAP SuccessFactors

HCM Functional Lead
Contract Length: 12 months (high likelihood of extension)
Location: Paramatta & Sydney metro areas (Hybrid - 3 days in office per week)

About the Role
Join a multi-year transformation program aimed at streamlining people management services. Reporting to the Business Transformation Director, you'll lead the SAP SuccessFactors HCM solution design, collaborating with business stakeholders, service owners, and implementation partners. You'll manage a team of Business Analysts and a Functional Architect to drive high-quality, best-practice solutions aligned with the department's goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution design workshops, business requirement gathering, and playbacks with stakeholders.
• Ensure the solution adheres to SAP best practices and supports complex processes.
• Collaborate with implementation partners and program streams to resolve design conflicts.
• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation.
• Support other workstreams (e.g., testing, integration, change) as needed.

About You

• 7+ years of SAP SuccessFactors HCM Functional Lead experience.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team management skills.
• HR functional expertise (Recruitment, Onboarding, Core HR, Payroll).
• Experience in large transformation programs (NSW Government experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of SAP SuccessFactors, ECC, or S/4 HANA.
• Excellent communication, consulting, and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
