Product Owner

Join a global leader in the resources sector as a Product Owner, driving the modernisation of a large-scale user interface for a key control system platform. This team is focused on delivering a more intuitive, user-centric experience-so if you're customer-focused and passionate about refining design detail with UX teams, this role is for you.

The Role:
You'll work closely with Agile teams, UX designers, and technical stakeholders to transform the product's UI and ensure backlog items are clear, actionable, and aligned to business priorities. With strong attention to detail, you'll own iteration planning, validate feature completeness, and maintain a high-quality user experience from concept to release.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Maintain and prioritise the team backlog
✅ Lead iteration planning and support PI events
✅ Refine user stories using BDD and SAFe practices
✅ Validate stories meet UX and technical acceptance criteria
✅ Collaborate with UX designers to enhance user experience
✅ Engage with architects on enabler work and infrastructure planning
✅ Participate in demos, retrospectives, and team ceremonies

What You'll Bring:
🔹 Proven experience in a Product Owner/BA role within Agile environments
🔹 Experience in the mining or heavy industry is highly desirable
🔹 Background working on control systems or engineering-based platforms
🔹 Strong track record collaborating with UX/UI teams on user-focused solutions
🔹 High attention to detail and strong customer focus
🔹 Experience in SAFe Agile, iteration management, and backlog ownership
🔹 Confident communicator with a continuous improvement mindset
