Validation Engineer

Are you an engineer who loves solving real-world problems? We're looking for an experienced Validation Engineer to join a team working on advanced technology for the mining sector. This isn't your typical software testing gig - you'll be hands-on with machine/hardware-software integration, making sure complex systems perform exactly as they should in tough environments.

• Creating test plans for on-machine evaluations of new software releases and features.
• Managing product integration on machines and deployments to proving grounds and field sites.
• Running test cases, including operating mining machines and autonomy systems during evaluations.
• Diagnosing and fixing tricky software and system issues on machines.
• Installing and evaluating on-machine and off-machine hardware systems.
• Troubleshooting communication and software problems in real-world conditions.
• Collecting and analysing data to help improve performance.
• Working closely with subsystem teams to implement fixes and improvements.

• A degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in validation or integration testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience installing and testing prototype hardware systems.
• CAD design skills for electronic hardware and wiring (ProE preferred).
• Hardware-in-the-loop or real system testing experience.
• Familiarity with software development tools and datalink analysis.
