About the Role

Our clients is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Data Architect to drive the modernisation of enterprise data services. You'll design and deliver cloud-native data architectures that are secure, resilient, and enable real-time data access and advanced analytics. This is a leadership role where you'll influence strategy, mentor teams, and ensure solutions deliver tangible business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS data architectures.
• Lead migration from legacy platforms to modern cloud-native solutions.
• Embed security by design across all data solutions (encryption, IAM, monitoring, compliance).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Champion best practices in cloud data engineering, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to delivery teams.

What We're Looking For

• Deep expertise in AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, S3, Kinesis).
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles (IAM, encryption, network security, compliance).
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Flexible locations: Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney.
