We are partnering with a well-established Australian organisation known for delivering reliable digital services and investing heavily in modern technology. As part of their ongoing cloud and platform enhancement, they are strengthening their AWS infrastructure, automation capability, and internal IT environment to support continued growth.

Role Purpose

The DevOps & Systems Engineer will join a high-impact technology team responsible for maintaining and evolving a cloud-native environment with 100+ microservices. The role spans DevOps, infrastructure management, cloud security, and day-to-day IT support for a hybrid workforce. You will work closely with engineers and data teams to enhance automation, observability, and operational reliability.

The ideal candidate brings strong AWS experience, solid DevOps foundations, and practical IT support skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage AWS infrastructure across ECS, EC2, Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache, S3, and Route 53.

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform.

• Enhance observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.

• Support cloud security, Secrets Manager, SSL/TLS, and VPC configurations.

• Assist with data platforms including Snowflake, DBT/Dagster, and Metabase.

• Provide IT support for approx. 50 hybrid users across Windows and macOS.

• Manage Microsoft 365, Intune, user access, and Pritunl VPN.

• Support collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, Twilio Flex) and maintain office network hardware.

• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong AWS experience across compute, networking, databases, and security.

• Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK) and Docker/CI/CD.

• Practical Linux administration and networking fundamentals.

• Corporate IT support experience, ideally with M365 and Intune.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to balance DevOps and support tasks.

• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and focus on delivering quality outcomes.

• Min 3 years experience
