Gearbox, an Australian-owned software company, is transforming the way fleet and transport operators manage maintenance, compliance, and assets. Their intuitive, mobile-first fleet management platform is trusted by hundreds of transport businesses across Australia and beyond.
We're partnering with them to find a tech-savvy Customer Onboarding Specialist and someone who not only speaks the language of trucks, fleets, and compliance but is also comfortable working with customer data and Microsoft Excel. If you're equally at ease chatting with fleet managers as you are manipulating data, this could be your next move.
About the Role
You'll be the friendly, capable voice that new customers rely on to get started and guiding them through setup, onboarding, and best-use of the Gearbox system. You'll work closely with internal tech and product teams, helping ensure that data is clean, accurate, and aligned for each client.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Onboarding new customers and configuring their systems
- Importing, cleaning, and validating customer data (yes, there's plenty of Excel involved)
- Taking client calls and troubleshooting technical or configuration issues
- Escalating complex problems to the development team
- Creating clear, step-by-step support resources and user guides
- Providing feedback and insights that help improve the platform
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years' experience in transport, fleet, or heavy vehicle operations
- Experience in customer onboarding, customer experience, or technical client support
- Strong Excel skills and ability to manage, clean, and format data accurately
- Comfortable working with data imports and templates.
- Ideally, NHVAS accreditation or strong compliance understanding
- A calm, solutions-focused communicator who can manage multiple clients with ease
- Someone who enjoys helping others and improving systems
