About the Role
We are seeking two experienced Senior Systems Engineers to join a high-performing federal government team supporting critical ICT infrastructure across Australia. This is a dynamic, hands-on role involving travel to various domestic sites, with occasional international opportunities.
You will be part of a team responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of enterprise-grade IT, network, and communications systems. The role requires a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support across multiple locations in Australia
- Install and maintain IT, network, and communications systems
- Troubleshoot and support desktop hardware/software, printers, UPS, and server infrastructure
- Maintain and update technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to deliver high-quality ICT support
- Participate in after-hours and weekend work as required
- Travel to domestic sites (and potentially international locations) as part of support operations
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience supporting complex ICT systems
- Proficiency in desktop support, printer installation/troubleshooting, and UPS systems
- Understanding of physical network/server infrastructure and cabling
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- NV2 security clearance (minimum)
Desirable
- Knowledge of logical networking (DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, routing/switching)
- Open Cabling Registration
