EL1 Work Health and Safety Manager

Clicks' client is looking for an EL1 Work Health and Safety Manager to lead the WHS strategy and early intervention / injury management program. You'll partner across the organisation to embed a proactive safety culture, coach leaders and workplace representatives, and lead a small WHS team while contributing to the broader HR function.

What you'll do
Deliver WHS services aligned to strategic priorities; provide practical advice on legislation, codes and standards; maintain the WHS management system (policies, frameworks and compliance). Guide risk plans for major events and drive post‑event improvements. Oversee early intervention and case management for rehabilitation/return‑to‑work. Analyse WHS data to identify trends and manage risks. Prepare reports for senior governance on activities, compliance, corrective actions and prevention outcomes. Lead incident investigations (including serious incidents), manage budget and procurement, and represent WHS with regulators and external forums.

Position particulars

Level: EL1

Duration: 6 months (non-ongoing) with view for extension / permanent ongoing.

Remuneration: $116,589 - $126,287 + 15.4% superannuation

What you should have

• Deep knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management in complex environments
• Proven risk identification and mitigation that enables business improvement
• Collaborative communicator with strong writing skills for diverse audiences
• Experience in workers compensation claim management and early intervention/RTW
• Positive, professional leadership, sound judgment and resilience under limited direction
• Relevant WHS (or related) qualification
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance
• Desirable: membership of a recognised WHS industry body (e.g., AIHS)
