Our client a leading Government organisation is seeking a Data Platform Engineer. to align development practices with business objectives, reducing the management burden of complex tools and infrastructure throughout an application's lifecycle.
The Data Platform Engineer will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Contribute to the optimisation and maintenance of data ingestion pipelines including both stream and batch technologies.
- Develop and manage data storage table and message schemas for various event formats.
- Support Hadoop and similar technologies to ensure data is stored and accessed efficiently.
- Ensure the effective implementation of role based access controls across data lake components through technical enforcement and audit.
Skills and Experience requires:
- At least 5 years' experience as a data engineer working with tight security controls, monitoring solutions, data ingest and pipelines.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical systems to non-technical audiences
- Proven record building, managing, and enhancing relationships with stakeholders.
