A Queensland Government department is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of an enterprise IT system implementation. This role is part of a high-impact digital transformation program and will suit someone confident working with internal teams, third-party vendors, and executive stakeholders.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, risk, reporting, and governance while ensuring alignment with departmental goals. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery within a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of a large-scale IT system
- Manage project delivery, budgets, and risk frameworks
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee governance, reporting, and change processes
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years' experience in project management, ideally in government
- Strong understanding of PRINCE2, Agile, or similar frameworks
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects and vendor partnerships
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Previous experience in Queensland Government highly regarded
