An innovative and community-focused local government organisation (name confidential) is on the lookout for a Systems & Applications Administrator to join their dynamic ICT team.
About the Role
As a Systems & Applications Administrator, you'll be at the heart of managing and optimising the digital tools that keep our essential services running. From resolving complex technical issues to improving user support and maintaining high-performing corporate applications, your work will directly impact how smoothly our organisation operates and how effectively we serve our community.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be diagnosing problems, refining processes, managing access and permissions, and collaborating across departments-all while maintaining a laser focus on delivering a stellar customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues across a range of critical corporate applications.
- Manage user accounts and permissions with a focus on access security and integrity.
- Provide expert-level technical support and advice across the organisation.
- Ensure customer-first support by continuously improving service levels.
- Triage, prioritise and manage service desk requests to maintain operational efficiency.
- Monitor application performance and ensure seamless integration across the ICT ecosystem.
- Keep documentation and reporting accurate and up-to-date.
- Stay ahead of the curve with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
What You'll Bring
- Hands-on experience in supporting two or more of the following systems: Land/Property, EDRMS, CRM, Facilities, Library, ERP, GIS.
- Deep technical skills in Microsoft 365, Citrix, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of ICT security, service management (incident/problem/change), and collaboration tools.
- A strong customer service ethic and the ability to speak tech in plain English.
- Tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field.
- ITIL Specialist Certification.
- Current Driver's Licence.
Bonus Points For:
- Project management certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
